Direct Tv vs Dish

If you pm me I'll explain to you why you would want to install the dish yourself. And, I'll go to my grave saying Direct>Dish due to March Madness and NFL Sunday Ticket. But if you dont like sports you might like Dish better.

Sports does not matter to me much, I watch some but not enough to get treated like crap to watch it.

Hunter we did they will be out Thursday for our free install and to bring me our DVR!!! and yes it is a sweet. I myself dont like basketball unless it is high school and I really cant stand the NFL. High school and college football in my opinion is as good as it gets. I guess the only NFL game I watch is the Super Bowl. Dish is better for me like Direct is better for PVfan. Its all in what you like for which Satilite you choose. Well ladies and gentlemen!!! my Dish was set to be put in today...however the guy who was supposed to do it called, and apparently instead of telling someone they decided to let them wait all and I mean all afternoon for NO ONE to show up. The place lacked the common courtesy to call someone, after I had to postpone and rearrange my appts today, not to mention the one that had to be done that someone in my office was luckily able to do for me as a favor. They then ask me to be ready for someone to come Tuesday and again it is an all afternoon appt. He then said that he would note to come after 5, but he does not guarantee that will be something they can do. So here is the question since they lack courtesy to call...let us not forget to mention the man told me that I was the only one they were not able to hook up today on the guy's list. I understand people have to call in, I don't understand making people wait for nothing. IMO the professionalism with Adelphia (they were supposed to come Sat and pick up the equipment and turn off the cable, never showed they said that in the system it was an office error and no one came out, they actually did turn it off today after I set the appt back up), Direct Tv, and the people handling Dish Network sucks. And if anyone on here works with the guy I am sure he can tell you what a bi*ch I really was.

I have always loved direct been using it for about 5 years now and I have never had a complaint, the DVR with tivo is awesome.

And now they are offering HD DVR with Tivo

MikMo probably does. I was lucky to not have that problem. They told me 8 to 12 of the morning and was here by 9. Dishnetwork does not handle the installs. They contract it out to Suburban Services in Big Stone. I did have the trouble you are having with Primestar when they were in buisness. They put me off for almost 2 weeks without calling.

well I would love to be able to compare notes on how well it is...guess I won't know until they finally send someone out to hook it up.

I have used Dish before, I really can't stand it, the guide is horrible, but I think they have upgraded, so it may be better now, but I would highly suggest getting Direct DVR with Tivo

my in laws had Dish then switched, but I think they have upgraded....we got the DVR with the dish, well I guess we did, again NO ONE showed up lol...nah I don't have issues with that.

Another thing I like about Direct is the remote, it controlles everything I have, TV, DVD, VCR. I don't know if Dish's remote does that, but I like only needing one remote.
